Sara's introduction letter

Dear UB students at MOCC,

It was nice to meet you last week. I think we will have a good term together. I want to tell you a little bit about myself.

I was born in Vancouver, and I grew up in Dunbar. I lived with my parents, my older brother, and my grandmother. I went to Lord Kitchener elementary school and Prince of Wales high school. After I graduated from high school, I went to McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. I lived there for four years, and I really enjoyed my time in Montreal.

I started working at VCC in 2004. Before VCC, I worked in East Vancouver at MOSAIC and Collingwood Neighbourhood House. I taught ELSA. Now, I teach ESL and I also do teacher training in the TESOL department. I enjoy working at VCC because I meet many interesting people.

In my free time, I play with my 3 sons, go out to restaurants with my husband, and I try to exercise. I like to ski, ride my bike, play soccer, and swim. This year I want to go swimming every week and I also want to learn to skate better.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you have about me or about this class. You can e-mail me, leave a comment on this blog, or talk to me in class! :)

See you all tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Sara
